The QuEST Forum Americas Regional Conference will feature many distinguished presenters from across the Americas.  We are pleased to welcome the following keynote speakers:

 

Mr. Pierre Cyr

Vice-President Quality & Customer Satisfaction, Alcatel-Lucent -

“TL 9000 - A Destination or a Journey?”

 

Pierre Cyr is Vice-President, Global Quality & Customer Satisfaction for Alcatel-Lucent.  His responsibilities include corporate TL 9000 registrations, performance scorecards, quality assurance tools and processes, quality improvement plans as well as customer-facing quality activities. Previously, Pierre was Vice-President, Quality in the IP Division and Vice-President & General Manager of Alcatel Network & Service Management Product Group.

 

Pierre has over 25 years experience in the telecom industry.  He started his career at Nortel as a Customer Engineer and later held management positions in Product Management and Quality Engineering. 

 

Pierre holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Telecommunications.  He is also a Certified Advanced Technology Manager. 

 

 

Mr. Ibrahim Gedeon

Chief Technical Officer, TELUS

“Convergence:  People...People...People...”

 

In his role as chief technology officer at TELUS, Ibrahim Gedeon is responsible for technology strategy and architecture for TELUS Communications Inc.

Mr. Gedeon began his career in 1990 with Bell Northern Research in the cryptographic systems division. He moved to Nortel Networks in 1994, joining the data systems engineering team. Mr. Gedeon joined TELUS in 2003 from Nortel Networks, where he was senior vice-president Wireless Engineering responsible for global operations, sales support and systems engineering.

Mr. Gedeon has a Masters degree in electronics engineering from Carleton University and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the American University of Beirut.
